In biographical clippings Semon is described as a friendly, generous
and very eccentric person. If so, what were his eccentricities like?
Does anybody know how and where I might get access to Larry's cartoons
other than those I have scanned for this site? Larry worked as a cartoonist
for the New York Sun, The New York Herald and The New York Evening Telegraph.
Is there anyone who has some personal items of Larry's such as his
Latin grammar he turned into a cinema flipbook by drawing cartoon figures
at the top edges? Do letters or other written items still exist?
What became of his other leading ladies such as Florence Curtis, Madge Kirby,
Vera Steadman (Stedman) and Kathleen Myers?
What is known about Doris Deane whom he had a relationship with?
What is known about Larry's father Zera and especially about
his mother and sister (his sister was Mrs. H.C. Cunningham and lived
in Philadelphia)?
Does Larry still have relatives in Savannah? (He was sent there after
his father's show turned out to be a financial disaster.)
