An aspect that has led to wrong categorisations could be clarified by Juan Gabriel Tharrats: the distinction between Catalonian and Spanish Semon films is not justifiable. The Tomasín-films were Spanish pre-war distributions and the Jaimito releases were made in the 1940s by Spaniard Manuel Rotellar. He inaugurated the series Estrellas de ayer, re-releasing Larry Semon films earning a fortune as he was ignoring any copyrights. All Spanish Semon titles must thus be assigned to Spain.
